Vladimir Putin and Mozambican President Filipe Nyusi will meet in Moscow today. They will discuss bilateral relations and prospects for their development. The head of the African republic is sure that the historical ties between the two countries still promote the development of his homeland. He said that in his interview with Mikhail Gusman.
Filipe Nyusi, President of Mozambique: "It’s time to open a new page in relations between Mozambique and Russia. We need to cooperate to develop our economies through joint investment. We have raw materials, but we'd like to extract and process them in Mozambique with the help of Russian investment. Thus, we'll create more jobs, more options to support families. Russia usually does that well. We have hydrocarbons, you have experience in oil production. We have fishery and agriculture. We'd like to continue to receive your support in the field of education. The education that the people of Mozambique got in those difficult times in Russia still promotes our development. It was the most important investment".
