Insanity! Ukrainian Minister Wants to Curb Ukrainian Travel to Russia; Conquer Moscow Instead

Vladimir Omelyan, the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, stated that his compatriots should start a war with Moscow if they still want to go to Russia. That's what he said in a TV interview when asked about the prospect of canceling all railway communication with Russia. Such a proposal has been submitted to the Ukrainian government.

Omelyan claims that in the past 6 years, the demand for trips to Russia has decreased by over 6 times. In the meanwhile, there's a shortage of trains for domestic traffic. That's why the official thinks that the reassignment of trains is a quite justified measure. The minister suggested that the Ukrainians, who need to go to Russia, go to war there.

Then, after we get Kuban and Moscow back, they can say that they need or want very much to go to Russia by a fixed-route transport. In 2013, there were over 5 million passengers. In 2017, there were about 800,000 passengers. The demand has decreased by over six times. We realize that there are not enough passenger trains for domestic traffic. I also take into account that there are hostilities between Ukraine and Russia. I strongly believe that Ukrainian citizens shouldn't go to Russia. We've submitted such proposal which is being under consideration by the Cabinet of Ministers.
